Hello pumpkins! I haven't forgotten you, I swear! It's just been an odd end to the year and I have been having a bit of a hiatus from photography - wedding and street-wise. It was much needed, but what can I say - I have now started to have a lovely tickle to actually want to lift a camera up and start taking some photos again. :) So, watch this space, as the film is in my Holga 35mm and I'm back on the streets of London!
i've realized there's two sides to me associated with whether i want to hang around and socialize with people or whether i want to stay in my room and just be by myself: which i prefer. i'm not sure whether i socialize or decide to be alone are two different feelings in my brain, or whether i prefer to be alone but want to see every now and then what the fuss with having friends and socializing is. i'm thinking the latter.
there really isn't much more to this matter in terms of things to dwell about, onlt that i thought it was important to note this because i've felt like this for years.
I haven't made a Christmas Wish List since I was a kid. Every Christmas, the Sears Wish Book would come out and my cousin Patrick and I would go though all the toys and pick out what we wanted. Well, I don't see Patrick on a regular basis anymore, but I'm going to make this list in honor of him. Besides, I need to put this stuff in writing if I'm gonna get anything for Christmas this year.
1. "Casablanca: And Party Every Day" book. You can check it out BY GOING HERE.
2. Navigation System. I always thought they were pretty cool, but never really wanted one. Then, Brandy and I borrowed my dad's Magellan when we went to Florida in May. It helped A LOT! I'm not really picky, as long as it has a 4" screen. Here's one: A TOMTOM FROM WAL-MART.
3. Canon 580 EX ii Flash. I know I won't actually get this for Christmas because it's too expensive. But, I REALLY want this one, so I decided to put it on here anyway. Bask in its glory by CLICKING THIS LINK.
4. "Ford County" by John Grisham. Grisham is one of my favorite authors. His new book was just released Tuesday. This is what it LOOKS LIKE AT AMAZON.
5. "Undone" by Karin Slaughter. Yeah, another book. At least they're affordable. Another one of my favorite authors and her new book recently came out. It's out IN HARDCOVER RIGHT NOW.
6. "KISS: Xtreme Closeup & Konfidential" DVD. I have these on VHS, but who watches that crap anymore? Both videos have been re-released and repackaged as a single DVD. It's available at AMAZON AT THIS ADDY.
More to come... maybe.
"But pain... seems to me an insufficient reason not to embrace life. Being dead is quite painless. Pain, like time, is going to come on regardless. Question is, what glorious moments can you win from life in addition to the pain?"
~Lois McMaster Bujold
Just another morning on the bus to the city for work...let me paint a picture.
An enormously tall and weighty lady with a face resulting perhaps from a combination of closely related parents combined with perhaps drinking and smoking since she was 12 (so guessing about 45 years of that), in a summery dress with bare varicose veined legs and thongs, and a tattoo on her arm that said "MONKEY" in crooked block letters - and a couple of faded outlines of vaguely monkey shaped figures...with her husband (who may have also been her son), and their 3 children, the eldest of which might have been 20, with the word "F*CK" engraved neatly in capital block letters on the back of one hand, and angled but precise cut marks around it (to accentuate it maybe)...and the youngest with such small squinty eyes he could barely see, the middle child maybe had a different daddy as he had a slightly more exotic look - all looking like they live on KFC, and the adults also ciggies and alcohol, or maybe for all!?!
It almost makes me want to catch the train again, but that's full of neatly groomed yuppies, worse I think.
This is a wish list that I hope to kill part of it off myself but if not, feel free to get me anything here. List is intended for Tom to see. But what the hell. Enjoy it!
Fieldsheer 2009 Model Women's Alpina Jacket size 4 (creme) and here at a cheaper price (size 4/creme)- I need a riding jacket, hopefully I'll have one before January when it gets super cold.
Icon 2009 Model Women's Hooligan 54 Jacket (X-Small) - Hell why not make this an interesting wish list. I tried this ICON jacket in black on in store and it was comfortable as a mesh bunny! Can't decide between blush or lavender. Though I do like black. Whateves. It was comfortable though not quite small enough for me. :|
CYMA Reusable Grocery Tote Bag, Shades of Purple, Super Saver 12 Pack or 6 Six Pack (Dusty Lilac) - In love with this one grocery bag I have and want more. I changed it to an Amazon link to remember better. Oh and the 6 pack is cheaper because really, do I need a 12 pack? I just made a "wish" list.
Sandisk 8GB media card - THIS BRAND SPECFICALLY. It's the only one my computer acknowledges.
LA Girl Matte Nail Polish in Matte Baby Pink, Pink, White, Black and Turquoise. I want some matte nail polish. I actually want one of each color but not important. :P
REI Scarf (charcoal)- I admit, this scarf is intriguing. And I like scarves.
Jansport Heritage Stars and Stripes Backpack - It looks pretty small and old as hell. My style all the way. And it's obnoxious. Which is also my style.
Ariat Women's Cobalt XR Crepe 13" Boots in Dress Brown 17606
- Hmmm I want a new pair of cowboy boots. This somehow manages to be
CHEAPER than the riding jacket. It's meant to ride HORSES. WTF. Cowboy
boots are the ultimate boot all around. They are dry, comfortable, I
can drop things on my feet and it bounces off cowboy boots. It's
serious.
